Eucalyptus, part of the Myrtaceae family, generally thrives in Australia. The common name, Eucalyptus, was named by the French botanist, Brutelle L’Heritier, by combining the Greek words eu (well) and kalipto (covered). This signifies the cup shape of the falling petals when the flowers are in full bloom. Eucalyptus oil, which is rich in Cineole, has widely and traditionally been used for soaps and oral care, as well as for aiding in outdoor activities and calming burns and/or blisters.

HOW TO USE

Put water in the lamp and add 2-3 drops of the oil to disperse the scent, or use during a bath (5-10 drops) or foot bath (2-3 drops). When using for a massage, blend up to 20 drops with 100 ml of a carrier oil.
